Projects

Below you will find an overview of several projects which i have committed to in my free time. Included are initial planning pictures (typically CAD model images or sketches) with a final description of the result.

Forge Blower

The axial forge fan which i had previously did not push enough air through my forge to reach a good temperature with which to heat steel.

Using a centrifugal air pump, i could provide a higher flow of air to my forge. This required a pair of modifications to the pump: an adapter with which to mount the pump to the forge air supply pipe and a battery holder to make the unit free standing.

An additional adapter was designed to allow the centrifugal pump to also be mounted to my smelter

3D Printed Gears

Using the principles of basic gear design and some basic mechanics, i was able to design working gears for use in future 3D prints.

3D Printed Small Scale Vehicle

Further implementing 3D printed gears as well as arduino, I can design and prototype a small scale car.

Backyard Casting Process

A process rundown of reclaiming raw material from household waste, smelting it down and removing slag, to finally cast an original product using a 3d prrinted lost wax mold.
